Be fearful of mediocrity

As my vision blurs,
I can make out,
In the shape of an elephant,
An enormous puddle
Swirling, grey and abstract.
Maybe a panda, an ape,
Or possibly a giraffe
Spilling out like snakes,
Rolling around like monkeys,
Sliding down like children on a playground.
Each drop forming a salty stream
Full of fish.
